The Sostengo 3000 Mattress is a carefully crafted mattress designed for sleepers who want dependable orthopaedic support with the added comfort of luxury natural fillings. With 3000 pocket springs, wool, silk, cotton and cashmere fillings, a turnable design and hand side stitched detailing, this mattress brings together strong support, breathable comfort and traditional mattress craftsmanship.

At the centre of the Sostengo 3000 Mattress is a 3000 pocket spring system. Pocket springs are individually wrapped in fabric pockets, allowing each spring to move independently. This means the mattress can respond more closely to the sleeper’s shape, helping to support pressure points and distribute weight evenly across the sleeping surface. The independent spring movement also helps reduce motion transfer, making the mattress a practical choice for couples as well as solo sleepers. With 3000 pocket springs, the Sostengo offers a highly responsive feel, providing tailored support across the body.

The mattress is designed with orthopaedic support, making it suitable for those who prefer a more supportive sleeping surface. This support-focused construction helps encourage a stable and reassuring feel throughout the night, giving the body the firmness and structure needed for a comfortable sleep posture. Combined with the pocket spring system, the Sostengo 3000 Mattress offers targeted support where it is needed most.

Inside the mattress, layers of wool, silk, cotton and cashmere provide a naturally comfortable finish. Wool is soft, springy and naturally supportive, while also helping to wick away moisture and regulate body temperature. Cotton adds a durable and soft comfort layer, with excellent absorbency to help keep the sleeping surface cool and dry. Silk brings a luxurious touch, offering breathability, natural temperature regulation and moisture-absorbing properties. Cashmere enhances the overall feel with its soft, smooth and insulating qualities, while also supporting moisture management for a more comfortable night’s sleep.

The Sostengo 3000 Mattress is turnable, meaning both sides can be used. This traditional design allows the mattress to be flipped over regularly so that both sides receive equal use and settlement. Rotating the mattress from head to toe is also recommended, especially in larger sizes, to help maintain an even feel and extend the life of the mattress.

Hand side stitching adds a further sign of quality. This traditional finishing technique helps secure the pocket springs to the mattress border, improving edge-to-edge support and helping the mattress keep its shape. With luxury natural fillings, orthopaedic support and a turnable construction, the Sostengo 3000 Mattress is a strong choice for those seeking a supportive and comfortable night’s sleep.

  • Pocket Springs – Individual springs are wrapped in a fabric pocket and then glued or stitched together. By connecting the fabric pockets together but not the individual springs, it allows for free movement of the springs. This free movement of springs allows for complete tailored support for each sleeper with no motion transfer and is often considered a superior spring system. Each pressure point is supported and your weight is evenly distributed as each pocket spring contours to your shape offering unrivalled support and comfort.
  • Wool – A popular natural filling for its soft, springy and naturally supportive qualities. Wool is also proficient at wicking away moisture helping to regulate body temperature, keeping you warm and dry as you sleep. It is also antibacterial, anti-static. and its inherent fire retardant means there’s no need to use chemicals.
  • Silk – A luxury fibre that is both breathable and a natural temperature regulator, with moisture-absorbing properties making for a more comfortable night's sleep. Silk is also the strongest of natural fibres and hypoallergenic making for a healthier sleeping surface.
  • Cotton – A durable material yet soft to the touch and highly absorbent allowing for great moisture wicking keeping you cool and dry whilst sleeping especially on hot nights.
  • Cashmere – A luxury natural material that is both incredibly soft and smooth, with a very durable outer layer. The fine soft Underdown is lighter and more insulating than other wools, cashmere also offers moisture-wicking properties making it great for keeping you cool and dry.
  • Turnable – This mattress must be regularly turned over or flipped over so both sides receive equal use and settlement this will extend the life of the mattress. You should also rotate your mattress from head to toe especially on large sizes like king and super king to avoid heavy condensing of any fillings in one place.
  • Hand Side Stitching – Often used on quality pocket spring mattresses, a cord is passed through multiple entry points along the side of the mattress securing the pocket springs the mattress border. This technique means no bulging will occur and no metal rod will be needed to secure the springs as this can limit the movement of the springs. Multiple rows of side stitching can be used depending on the size and quality of the mattress. This is a difficult technique done by hand and improves edge to edge support.
