A History Of
Award Winning Service
Our commitment to quality, expertise and outstanding customer care has been recognised with multiple industry awards. Prestige Beds has twice been named Bed Retailer of the Year by the National Bed Federation, alongside receiving further recognition as an independent family retailer. We were also proud to win the NBF Ad of the Year award for 2023–2024. These respected accolades reflect the knowledge, integrity and high standards our team brings to every customer experience, giving you confidence that you are buying from one of the UK’s most trusted independent bed specialists.
At Prestige Beds, we are also proud members of the National Bed Federation (NBF). The NBF supports British bed brands and businesses that aim to make the world a better place through sustainable practices and eco-friendly operations. As part of the NBF, we strive to follow industry best practices when it comes to environmental impact. We are committed to continually improving our sustainability efforts, whether it be through material sourcing, manufacturing processes, or end-of-life recycling. Our membership in the NBF connects us to other like-minded businesses who share our goals of building a more sustainable future for the bed industry. We are honoured to be part of a community working together towards positive change.
Supporting local charities.
At Prestige Beds, we believe in giving back to the communities we serve. As a proud Blackburn-based business, we aim to support local organizations that are making a real difference in people’s lives.
One of our major commitments is as a patron of the Blackburn and Darwen Youth Zone. This incredible organization provides opportunities for local youth who may not have access to them otherwise. With a state-of-the-art £5 million facility, the Youth Zone offers young people a safe space with activities, mentors, and resources. We are proud to support their mission of empowering and inspiring young people through monthly donations.
We also have an ongoing partnership with Nightsafe, a vital local charity serving vulnerable and homeless youth in Blackburn. Over the past year alone, we have provided 50 beds for young people who need a warm, safe place to sleep. As Nightsafe celebrates over 30 years of service, we are honoured to support their work through bed donations and other assistance.
At Prestige Beds, we take our corporate social responsibility seriously. As a local company, we want to ensure we are giving back and making a positive impact. Our partnerships with organizations like the Youth Zone and Nightsafe are just two of the ways we strive to support our community. We look forward to finding new ways to help empower and care for the people of Blackburn and beyond.
Prestige & Committed initiative: free old bed recycling on every order. When you buy a new bed or mattress from us, we will collect your old one and recycle it responsibly at no extra cost. It’s one more way we’re making your purchase easier, greener, and part of a sustainable future.
All items are sent to The Furniture Recycling Group (TFR), a specialist facility that breaks down mattresses and beds so materials like springs, foam and fabric can be reused instead of ending up in landfill.
Note. The above calculations have been calculated using the findings of the independently assessed and verified report by Oakdene Hollins “The Furniture Recycling Group – Impact Assessment of Mattress Treatment Processes” dated August 2023. The full report is available on request.
