What is a clearance product?
Our clearance products are one-off items, available on a first-come, first-served basis and offered at reduced prices as we make room for new stock. These products are currently held at one of our stores but can also be purchased conveniently online. As clearance items, some products may have minor marks, imperfections or other defects; where this is the case, any known issues will be clearly stated in the product description below. Clearance is a great opportunity to pick up a quality product for less, but once it’s gone, it’s gone.
The Naturally Prestige Avellino Ortho Max 2000 2 Drawer Divan Set & Headboard combines extra firm orthopaedic support with natural fillings, practical storage and a coordinated floorstanding headboard. Designed for sleepers who prefer a noticeably firmer, more supportive feel, this clearance divan set brings together a turnable pocket sprung mattress and a useful two-drawer base for a complete bedroom solution.
At the heart of the mattress is a 2000 pocket spring system. Pocket springs are individually wrapped within fabric pockets, allowing them to move independently rather than operating as one connected spring unit. This independent movement helps the mattress respond more closely to the sleeper’s shape, supporting individual pressure points while distributing body weight more evenly across the sleeping surface. The design also helps to minimise motion transfer between sleeping partners, creating more personalised support throughout the night.
The Avellino Ortho Max has an extra firm comfort level and is designed to provide orthopaedic support. This makes it particularly suitable for those who prefer a stronger, more supportive sleeping surface rather than a softer, cushioning feel. The pocket spring construction works alongside the mattress fillings to create a supportive foundation that responds to the body throughout the night.
Inside the mattress is a combination of wool, silk and cotton natural fillings. Natural fillings provide an additional layer of sumptuous comfort while offering supportive and soft cushioning. Wool is naturally springy and supportive, with moisture-wicking qualities that can help regulate body temperature. Cotton is soft, durable and highly absorbent, helping to manage moisture, while silk is a breathable natural fibre with temperature-regulating and moisture-absorbing properties. Together, these natural materials complement the supportive spring system while adding a comfortable layer between the sleeper and the mattress core.
The mattress is also hand tufted, with fabric tufts distributed across the sleeping surface to help hold the loose fillings securely in position. This traditional finishing method helps prevent the fillings from shifting or clumping and contributes towards maintaining the mattress over time. Hand side stitching is also used around the mattress border. This skilled technique helps secure the pocket springs to the mattress border while improving edge-to-edge support without relying on a restrictive metal rod.
As a turnable mattress, the Avellino Ortho Max should be regularly flipped so that both sleeping surfaces receive equal use and settlement. Rotating the mattress from head to toe is also recommended as part of regular mattress care, helping to avoid excessive settlement of the fillings in one area.
Completing the set is a two-drawer divan base, providing convenient additional bedroom storage. The drawers run on rollers for easy access and sit flush with the base when closed, helping to maintain a clean, streamlined appearance. A floorstanding headboard is also included, extending from the top of the bed down to the floor for a substantial and coordinated finishing touch.
